Whitewater Community Television, WCTV, is a community based not-for-profit organization. It was established in 1988 to provide PEG Access Television for the residents of Wayne County. Presently, WCTV operates three channels - Public Access Channel 21, Educational Channel 20 and Government Channel 11. WCTV offices and operations are located in the lower level of Hayes Hall on the campus of Indiana University East.
Public Access Television is your venue for programming locally produced, or programs of interest to residents of Wayne County. Any Wayne County resident or community organization can air a show. All programming is non-commercial. All editorial and creative control is left to the producer. Community Bulletin Board for free non-profit organization announcements.
Educational Access Television Programming is beneficial to the education and growth of the community. Material is centered on activities of community schools, universities and colleges. Other programming includes courses of instruction and special interest programming. These programs are produced by local faculty, students and WCTV staff as well as state and national educational organizations.
Government Access Television Programming is of, by and about government. Gavel-to-gavel coverage of government meetings in Richmond and Wayne County. Government programs designed to educate the public. Community oriented programming such as fire safety or health information. WCTV Government Events Calendar lists all government meetings, events and taped replay times.
